About Avoca House
Avoca House is based in Iona, a residential area between Glasnevin and Drumcondra. It is a 10-minute drive from Dublin City Centre. The Turner family has lived in the guest house for over 25 years, renovating it in 1999. Audrey, Jack, their son Jonathan, and their dogs Peanut and Chilli look forward to welcoming you.

The location was convenient. It was a short walk to the bus stop.
The room lacked soundproofing. I clearly heard noise from adjacent rooms and hallway traffic late at night. breakfast was self-service, and the selection was limited to a few pastries and fruit. I found the lack of hot options (such as eggs or bacon) disappointing. there was no staff present during breakfast to assist with any requests (like operating the coffee machine).

inconsistent shower temperaturebroken bedside lamp
The shower temperature was really inconsistent. It kept switching from hot to cold. it made showering pretty annoying. also, the bedside lamp was broken, and i couldn't read in bed. the lamp bulb was flickering constantly. I could not relax
