Dublin Accommodation

O'Neill's Victorian Pub & Townhouse, dating back to 1885, provides accommodation in Dublin's old city center. It features eight bedrooms with modern bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Onsite, there is a dining room where guests can make tea or coffee. Ironing facilities are available upon request. The entire property is a smoke-free zone.

Dining in Victorian Bar

O'Neill's is a traditional Irish pub, serving Irish dishes and pub classics. The bar offers a selection of Irish beers, whiskeys, and wines, including O'Neill's Red, their special brew red ale. The Whiskey Bar features over 50 Irish whiskeys. Executive chef Troy Maguire has launched a new menu with options such as traditional Irish lamb stew and Dublin's best fish 'n' chips, using local suppliers like Glenmar Shellfish and Keelings. Live traditional Irish music sessions occur every Wednesday and Saturday from 8pm.

Leisure and Facilities

O'Neill's provides access to the Trinity Sports Centre, a minute's walk away, for use of the gym, 25-meter swimming pool, steam room, sauna, climbing wall, and tennis courts. Daily fitness classes can be booked for a small fee. The townhouse also offers a luggage room.

Location and Transportation

O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse is located on 36 - 37 Pearse St, 300 m from Tara Street and 5 km from Dublin. It is opposite Trinity College, near O'Connell Street and Grafton Street. The Convention Centre Dublin is a 5-minute walk away. Dublin's attractions, including Dublin Castle and St Stephen's Green, are within walking distance. The 757 Airlink Express bus to Pearse Station stops nearby. Discounted parking is available at Park Rite Fleet St, 700 meters away. On-street parking is free overnight from 7 PM - 7 AM, and all day on Sundays and bank holidays.

Guest Services

Check-in is from 2 pm until 10 pm Wednesday to Sunday in O'Neill's Bar. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals and late departures. A full bar and restaurant are onsite. The property is entirely non-smoking, with air conditioning in the bar area. Europcar car hire is located close to the townhouse.

“From what I've gathered, this spot is a Dublin institution, established back in 1885, near Trinity College and Grafton Street. I think the Victorian bar's charm is a real draw, as are the live music sessions and the impressive whiskey selection; it's a place where you can enjoy both history and a lively atmosphere.”

O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse enjoys a fabulous location near Trinity College, putting guests within a short walk of the city centre and Temple Bar. Many appreciate the surprisingly spacious rooms, some featuring a beautiful vintage aesthetic. The shared kitchen and dining area, offering complimentary tea and coffee, is a particularly nice touch for many. While some guests have noted the limited number of electrical outlets, the pub's great food and the proximity to the Dublin Express airport bus stop directly across the street are definite highlights.

mediocre stay with some issues

good locationstreet noiseno elevator
The location was good. It was close to many attractions.
The noise from the street was excessive at night. I did not sleep well. also, there was no elevator and carrying luggage up the stairs was difficult. This should be mentioned.

the location was excellent. it was within walking distance of trinity college and the city center. it was also convenient to walk to the jameson whiskey tour. the gentleman who checked me in even helped me with my luggage upstairs. it was a really wonderful experience.
i found the street a bit questionable, and not the most well-lit, i probably wouldn't wander too much late at night.

The tv in my room didn't work. I only got sound. i thought this was pretty annoying. also, the noise from the street at night was a bit much (i did bring earplugs, thankfully). i also noticed a damp smell, mainly in the bathroom. it wasn't overpowering, yet still noticeable.

The room had beautiful character. I noticed the staff were lovely. a man from patagonia was very pleasant. it really seemed like a genuine local spot. plenty of locals enjoyed their evening. i found a great stop for an authentic pub experience.
The sink had separate hot and cold taps, unacceptable to ME. the shower head was fixed. I DISLIKED that. the carpet in the room was not very clean.

the location was ideal to the city center and great value. coffee and tea were available anytime of the day, that was a nice facility. the pub is lovely with quick service.
i was not aware that the restaurant would be closed when i booked. i had not seen that there are certain days closed. the street was a bit questionable and not the most well-lit! though the parking was expensive.
