the room was spacious it had all the facilities i wanted. table lamps provided a soft glow and a standard lamp offered additional light. there was plenty of choice for breakfast with ample coffee.
the room was cold the heating was turned off. the beds smelled of cleaning fluid some of the corridors did too.

the rooms were spacious (i especially liked the high ceilings).
I found it annoying that the check-in took so long. I waited two hours for my room to be ready, and when i finally got it, it wasn't the feature room i had booked. dirty towels were left hanging in the bathroom too. That's just unacceptable.

the grounds looked beautiful, especially the manicured gardens. the lake at the rear certainly enhanced the atmosphere.
the room was quite dark. finding the wardrobe. there was only the light of two bedside lamps and a barely functional standard lamp (it was hard to reach).

charming stay in a wonderful setting
lovely groundsfriendly stafftasty meal
I found the hotel's grounds to be beautiful, with lots of space to wander. the staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Their attentiveness really stood out. my evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and hot. The presentation was also well done. i really liked the atmosphere in the bar.
