The Acorn Hotel is located in Glasgow's Park Circus area, near Charing Cross and St George's Cross, and is a 10-minute walk to both. It is 15 km from Glasgow Airport. The hotel is near the M8 motorway. Stagecoach's X77 bus provides service between Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow and Prestwick Airport. The Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel is located at the opposite end of Kelvingrove Park.

The Acorn Hotel offers vouchers for all-day (£4) and half-day (£2) parking, available at reception. Street parking outside the hotel is free from 6 PM to 8 AM Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Guests can pay for parking via the RingGo App or meters outside the hotel. Check-in staff can provide advice. The hotel has a right to refuse entry to guests under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, who behave abusively towards staff or other guests, or who display aggression or unacceptable dress.
