The Rutland Hotel & Apartments offers 12 individually styled boutique bedrooms and 13 apartments. Apartments feature one or two bedrooms, Virgin cable television with Tivo, high-speed fibre-optic internet, and underfloor heating in bathrooms and kitchens. Bathrooms include rainfall showers and free-standing baths. Each apartment provides a Nespresso machine, GHD hair straighteners, and a stocked mini bar. Ground and first-floor apartments also provide a study area. Some two-bedroom apartments have a private garden. Castle View rooms include a super-king bed.

Dining Under One Roof

The Rutland Hotel includes The Huxley, Kyloe Restaurant & Grill, and Heads and Tales gin emporium. The Huxley opens at 8:00 AM, serving Scottish cuisine. From midday, it offers burgers, hotdogs, and small plates. Kyloe Restaurant & Grill provides Aberdeen Angus steak from Hardiesmill Farm and a diverse à la carte menu with Scottish produce. I booked a one room apartment and received a wonderful upgrade! the space was spotlessly clean with stylish and comfortable fittings. thoughtful touches. every staff member, from reception to housekeeping, was cute and helpful. the location is superb, with excellent nearby dining options. I especially enjoyed the huxley, just next door, where hotel guests get a discount on the fabulous breakfast.

The cups in the room were a bit small for coffee. I wish i had brought my own mug.

The apartment was spacious. It was very well furnished. The appliances were of high quality, I appreciated this.

The corridor had a strong smell from air fresheners. It seemed like this masked deeper issues. The lift was small. The glass casing was smeared and dirty. The room layout was awkward, the door opened barely a metre from the bed.

the hotel suite had great decor. i liked the super friendly staff, i felt they were always available. the room overlooked the castle, it was a super view. i appreciated its central location. this made walking to places easy.

the room had coffee cups that were small. i prefer bigger cups.

I loved the perfect location. It was right in the heart of everything. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help with a smile. My room had great amenities like amazing toiletries. I really enjoyed them.
