Accommodations
Premier Inn London City-Old Street is a simply constructed brick block, similar to the surrounding office buildings and apartment high rises. This hotel offers 251 renovated guest rooms with royal purple decor. Some rooms have views across the London skyline from the Olympic Park to the Shard. Rooms for three or four people have twin beds. Each room comes with spotty, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and air-conditioning. Bathrooms come standard with wall-mounted body wash, shower/tub combos, and large mirrors. Blackout curtains keep light and sound at bay.
Dining
The Premier Inn's signature chain Thyme restaurant and bar serves a mixture of traditional and contemporary English cuisine at reasonable prices. The restaurant looks fresh with wooden floors, floral wallpaper, and a large window. Kids under 16 eat breakfast free.
Leisure and Facilities
Guests can use wireless Internet access, a safe at reception, an elevator, and a 24-hour reception. There is a tiny purple reception counter and self-check-in kiosks. Guests can pay to use a desktop computer in the lobby. There is a cluster of three contemporary silver chairs centered around a circular coffee table next to a pay-per-use computer.
