“As Bournemouth's first hotel, it clearly retains a certain glamour, especially in its gardens and lounge with sea views; breakfast is very nice and I understand the spa is very lovely. Its location is hard to beat, but the price is good. I'd say it's an excellent value.”

Excellent Stay with Seaside Views

clean room large balcony good food
The room was well-furnished and very clean. My room had a huge balcony with seating for about six people. The common areas are furnished in sympathy with the age and style of the hotel. The dining room was efficiently run and food was available buffet style (the variety was good).
Finding my room was difficult. Many others experienced the same problem. The heating was on high all the time. It was uncomfortable, especially overnight.
Dining
9/10
The buffet offered a great variety of food. Each item was replenished regularly (I particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries). Every member of staff in the dining room was smart, friendly, and efficient.
Service
10/10
Every member of staff was smart and efficient. They were very attentive to those in our party that had mobility issues. The hotel's location is perfect. It's just a couple of minutes' walk from the sea.
