Excellent Stay

safe environmentlarge roomhelpful staffconvenient location
This hotel provides a thoroughly clean and safe environment. My room was quite large, which I found very helpful for working. The staff were really nice, especially during peak hours at breakfast. The hotel also offers a convenient, approximately twenty-minute walk to the castle.
The tea and coffee facilities are basic, with no hot chocolate provided on the hospitality tray.
Dining
9/10
The bistro provides a nice setting for meals. Breakfast includes an exclusive buffet in the lounge for certain guests. I found the breakfast excellent (the pancakes were a particular highlight!).
Facilities
8/10
The pool and sauna are clean and relaxing. Access to the spa facilities (steam room and salt rooms) requires an additional fee. The hotel features a lovely pool and sauna for guest use.
Location
9/10
The hotel is centrally located for easy access to shops and theatre venues. It offers very nice views from rooms. The location is convenient, with the castle reachable by foot.
Rooms
10/10
The room included a very comfortable bed and a spotlessly clean environment. Rooms offer views of the castle. The room was spacious, with a mesita and two sofas.

i felt let down by the spa. i hadn't visited for ages and decided to treat myself. the facilities seemed a bit run down, and after a nice hot sauna, there was no cold shower to cool down. i expect great facilities when paying a high price. the changing rooms were a mess and the locker numbers were hard to see because the lighting was low.

the continental breakfast had very limited options i found very little to choose from. i requested tea with breakfast both mornings and it was lukewarm each time so i sent it back. the toilet barely had a door this was my partner and i's first trip and the thin glass door separating the toilet from the hallway was not sufficient you could hear everything.

the so-called outdoor pool was a mirage (seriously, just a picture). i was told i needed to be a member to use it. also, one of the towels in my room had blood on it, not the souvenir i was hoping for. maybe they should invest in new laundry services or at least offer a complimentary bleach pen.
