my Nikolai Beautiful room had fantastic blackout curtains the air conditioning worked very well and the bathroom included two separate sinks i found the breakfast buffet featured smoked salmon and a variety of cheeses the hotel also offered made-to-order omelets. the gym included three treadmills and two stationary bikes breakfast was GOOD with a variety of dishes the hotel offers cooked eggs from the menu such as omelets or benedict.
the minibar was a little loud i found it.

The location was fantastic! I could easily reach St Catherine's church and it helped with navigation. The breakfast was very good with tasty coffee, eggs to order, and a nice view. I really appreciated the Occitaine Vervein toiletries in the room.
The parking garage offered by the hotel was a little far away and felt inconvenient, especially when checking out.

I found the hotel conveniently located near Speicherstadt. A unesco world heritage site is nearby. Shops, restaurants, and cafés are a short walk. Bus and subway lines are close. Hamburg hauptbahnhof is easily accessible. The hotel common areas and rooms feature a beautiful design.
The bar was closed when the tablet indicated it should be open, so the staff should keep it updated.

the hotel decoration was tasteful and clean. the room was spacious with all essentials available. i liked ordering fresh eggs benedict and pancakes from the menu. the homemade green juice at breakfast was a highlight!
i found a strong, unpleasant odor in the reception area upon arrival. this was off putting when entering the hotel. i believe a quicker check in process would help improve the initial experience.
