Exquisite experience
helpful staff spacious suite granite bathroom comfortable pillows
The staff provided help and were very accommodating. The hotel's location is great. The suite (it was immaculate) allowed us to relax. I was impressed by the quiet HVAC. The bathroom featured granite, a spacious shower, and many towels. Robes and slippers were provided. Pillows were especially comfortable.
The elevators are older and had portable air conditioners, which i found slightly out of place for a luxury hotel.

The room included a king bed with high-quality linens. It also featured a seating area with a plush sofa and armchairs. a work desk with multiple outlets and a comfortable chair. There was a large flatscreen television with cable channels.

Breakfast included fresh juice and a varied buffet. The Rotunda offered a formal dining experience, with exquisite decor. The bar had live music in the evenings and an extensive cocktail menu.

The hotel is near Central Park, offering many opportunities for recreation. Fifth Avenue shopping is steps away. Several restaurants are within walking distance, thus providing dining options.

an acceptable stay
dated decor considerable noise
the hotel's location proved convenient. it sat directly across from central park (i enjoyed my walks there). the room service was quick and efficient.
the room decor felt dated. housekeeping services were inconsistent. there was considerable noise from nearby rooms.

fresh flowers stocked mini bar effective blackout curtains
my room, a pierre beautiful room, featured fresh flowers. the mini bar was fully stocked. i found the blackout curtains very effective.
the elevator wait times were occasionally a bit extended.

Unfortunately, The Pierre offers only rooms with either a King bed or two Twin beds; there are no options for two queen beds. Are any of the fireplaces in the rooms functioning?

All fireplaces in the rooms are ornamental and do not function as working fireplaces for safety reasons. Is it possible to store my luggage at the Concierge after checking out?
