CitizenM Schiphol Airport features 230 modern, pod-like rooms. Each room utilizes compact space with futuristic glass columns enclosing toilets and rainfall showers. Rooms include king-size bedding, laptop-compatible safes, and comforts such as air conditioning. Guests use a finger swipe to control the whole room. There are big, clearly labelled old-fashioned switches. Amenities provided are: ironing facilities, heating, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have a private bathroom with a powerful rain shower and award-winning design furnishings. Guests can connect their phone, tablet or laptop to the TV via Chromecast. The rooms include a king-size bed, a rain shower. Guests appreciate effective blackout screens, good soundproofing, and a huge, comfortable bed. There are a few hooks on the wall and a large pullout drawer beneath the bed for luggage storage.

The room was quite small, barely enough space to move around. I found the automated system for controlling the lights and temperature via an iPad a bit cumbersome to use, especially at night. There was also a noticeable noise from the hallway at various hours, this interrupted my sleep. I expected a more peaceful stay considering the location near the airport.

I found the walk to the airport terminal really quick, about 3-4 minutes. My room featured excellent technology like iPad controls for lighting, TV, and blinds. The built-in casting for streaming on the TV worked great. The staff greeted me warmly upon arrival and proved helpful with directions.

The shower temperature control had some issues, so I experienced a sudden burst of cold water while trying to wash my hair.

The hotel is steps from the terminal, a real gift after a long journey. I quickly checked in at the self-service kiosk. I found the staff very cute. They always offered a friendly greeting. My room had useful amenities for a short rest.
