My stay included a comfortable bed and very quiet premises. Off-street parking made arrival simple. the staff were really friendly and helpful. I found the breakfast excellent with a great selection.
I found the pillows excessively firm. A softer option would enhance comfort significantly.

I appreciated the helpfulness of all the staff . Paul, the chef, made a superb custom cooked breakfast. I was very pleased! He also accommodated a late checkout because of the unexpected snowfall. I found the location excellent, the hotel provided a lovely setting combined with fascinating history.
I noticed a little wear and tear in my room, especially some slight signs of mold in the bathroom. The soaps did not produce a rich lather. That was a very small issue though.

The breakfast buffet included many choices, presented well and prepared with fresh ingredients. I found the breakfast to be a real highlight of my stay, offering both traditional options and some good surprises to enjoy.
