Memmo Alfama - Design Hotels (Adults Only) provides rooms with air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a terrace. Rooms include an iPod docking station and a LED flat-screen TV. Bathrooms offer free toiletries. Select Alfama Superior rooms are more spacious and have views. Rooms feature Egyptian bed linen and 100% cotton towels. Some rooms have slopped ceilings and parquet floors. Guests can choose rooms overlooking Alfama, Tagus River, or the hotel's patio. These rooms have a small wooden deck. Views are subject to availability.

Dining and drinks

The Terrace, located on the first floor, combines Portuguese gastronomy and wines with city views. The wine bar, also on the first floor, serves Portuguese wine and light meals accompanied by Portuguese music and views of the Tagus River. The hotel offers a short menu of regional fare, including Portuguese ham croquettes, fillet steak sandwiches, and cheese and smoked ham platters. The breakfast was really good, with high-quality meats and cheeses. i especially appreciated the delicious cooked egg dishes. the views from the terrace were amazing. You could even see a cruise ship arrive. the staff at the front desk provided great recommendations for local restaurants.

the terrace room opened to a small private area. it featured a amazing view. the hotel food was excellent. breakfasts each morning proved good . staff members were friendly, very cute, and efficient.

my room felt somewhat small with minimal wardrobe space. living out of suitcases on the floor became necessary. the loudspeaker outside the room playing music early and late was irritating. it consistently disrupted my sleep.

the staff was very helpful and friendly. the room was super clean and cozy. i especially liked the terrace (it was quite enjoyable). we also enjoyed the fado session as the musicians explained the history and techniques of the genre.

the bed was a little uncomfortable. i was disappointed the pool was under maintenance. they offered for us to go to another location (memmo princepriale), but it didn't meet expectations and involved a walk back.

The staff were very helpful. The room was clean. The terrace. The view of Alfama was worth the stay.

The shower was dangerously slippery because it was polished concrete. Our room had not been cleaned by 4:30 PM twice.

I stayed in a superior double or twin room view and the bed linens felt fantastic. the pastry offered upon arrival tasted amazing and the personal snack bar was great. the location allowed walking to many active areas. I loved it!

the gym equipment could use some updating! that was a bummer.

The hotel features a tranquil terrace that offers amazing views, especially good after a morning of exploring. The staff are super friendly and willing to assist you in any way possible. the bar service up there is great, too.
